The tour is designed for you to experience a myriad of events in the Mother City that would otherwise be nearly impossible without the help/guidance of an expert who’s been living there -- as well as getting a feel for this rich and wonderful place on your own or with buddies from the tour. While I will be helping you/arranging for you/accompanying you on many of the events included in the tour, there will be time for you to explore on your own (and I will teach you how to get around the city ~ that's an adventure in itself!).
PERSONALIZED means that you have the opportunity to let me know exactly what you want to do, who you want to study with, how you want to spend your time, and what your goals of the trip are...and my job is to make it happen for you!
See below for an outline of what’s included in the tour. Events are subject to change based on what (and who in regards to teachers and performers) is available at the time. Additionally, there are many things we may add in spontaneously or by personalizing events you specifically want to do (you can take more classes, less classes, see additional shows or opt in/out of things if you wish). If you are interested to take the tour, or want more information (like payment schedule, itinerary, etc.), please let me know. SPACE IS VERY LIMITED to keep the tour personal. A deposit is required to hold your spot.

Astryd's Personalized Cairo Tour for Dancers & Musicians includes:
• 10 nights hotel accommodation, sharing a clean & comfortable 4 star double room with one other participant in Zamalek, Cairo - a few blocks down the street from Astryd's house.
• All breakfasts, welcome dinner plus all dance show dinners (see below).
• Airport transfers and all transport within Cairo for tour itinerary.
• 10 – 15 hours of dance classes per individual; this includes group classes, semi-privates and/or privates. (Option for more classes based on individual & at additional cost). Instruction is subject to which instructors are available at the time, however, there are many wonderful famous and "non-famous" instructors to chose from. Classes available for Raks Sharki both modern and classic, Saidi/Raks Assaya, Melaya (Alexandrian), Nubian, Ghawazee, or your specific request (choreographies, tabla solo, etc). There is an option for Musicians: private classes available in Oud, Violin, Nay, Percussion (tabla, riqq, duff, mazhar) and Voice.
• THREE of the hottest shows in Cairo featuring stars currently on the stage; dinner included. (Option to see "non-famous" dancers too!).
• Bellydance show on a Nile Cruise Boat, dinner included.
• Tanoura/Whirling Dervish show
• Music concert(s): traditional and/or other
• Sightseeing: The Great Pyramids, The Shpinx, Egyptian Antiquities Museum, Mohammed Ali Mosque, Salah el Din Citadel and Coptic Cairo. Option for other daytrips by request including Sakkara, Memphis, Alexandria and other destinations (fees/transport extra).
• We will go to two of Cairo's HOTTEST costume designers to order yours CUSTOM - made to fit your body like a glove! Plus we'll visit two additional designers in the bazaar, and you have the option to request other designers should you choose to.
• Shopping in Cairo's famous Khan el Khalili - the world's largest outdoor bazaar.
• We'll visit the famous Mohammed Ali Street for musical instruments.
Extensions available for:
• Nile Cruise Tour in southern Egypt from Aswan to Luxor. There are many temples and antiquities in that area worth visiting! 5 star boat with nightly entertainment. (4 nights)
• Sharm el Sheik in the Sinai on the Red Sea for snorkeling, diving, sunbathing, nightlife, and general relaxation.
(3 nights)
• Spa retreat on the Red Sea for swimming, sunbathing, relaxing...here we also have the option for more dance classes as well as spa treatments, medicinal pool, massage, etc. (2 –3 nights)
